The Beginnings of Grace Home 

Let me tell you briefly, how God called me to this ministry.  I come from a Hindu family and was raised religiously and traditionally according to the teachings of Hinduism. I received special training to become a Hindu priest in the temple, in which both my grandfather and father had already served. So it was actually clear that I would also become a Hindu Priest – yet God had another plan in my life ...

 We were a family of five consisting of my older brother and an older sister, my parents and me. When I was approx. 6 years old, my father became seriously ill. My parents spent all of their savings and sold everything that they could to pay for the doctor’s fees in order to restore my father to good health again. With all their strength my parents also prayed and cried out to their Hindu God, but none of it helped them.

 My mother had to borrow money from friends in order to feed the children, and in the end she had to even beg for bread from our neighbors. My mother was completely desperate, cried continuously and didn’t know what she could do. So she had decided to bring me and my brother to a Christian orphanage, where we would at least have something to eat regularly.

 Jeremiah 1:5 says: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." That was what I would experience in a powerful way in the coming days and months: God had a tremendous plan for my life! I came to know Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and Redeemer and gave my life to him.

Especially in the verses from Isaiah 41:9-10: „I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, 'You are my servant'; I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

This is the promise of God.

I would like to emphasize that this is only by the grace of God. I myself was saved by grace alone with the precious blood of Jesus given me new life. To God be the glory. May God bless you.
